Woodlands School Uniform

A copy of the school's uniform policy can be found in the Policies section of the website.

It is important that our students take a pride in their appearance and in their school.  Wearing school uniform can play a key part in this.

All students in Years 7 – 11 are strongly encouraged to wear the bottle green school sweatshirt.  A plain bottle green sweatshirt is acceptable or one can be purchased with our logo.

Parents can purchase school sweatshirts and cardigans, with the logo, through Prestige Design and Workwear. Orders can be delivered to the school or collected from their Barton Le Clay store.

Our family workers also have a stock of second hand uniform.  Please contact them to find out about current availability.

We understand that some individual students may have issues wearing school uniform.  Please contact  your child's teacher to make us aware, in the first instance.

Students in the Post 16 classes do not wear school uniform. They should be encouraged to choose what they wear, usually smart/casual, comfortable and modest.  Clothing should be suitable for the activities of the day.

The headscarves should be folded under the chin, taken round to the back of the neck and the ends tucked in – this conforms to health and safety requirements.

Make up

Students should not wear make up to school.

The exception to this may be at times when students and their families are celebrating religious or cultural events e.g. Mehndi patterns for Eid or Diwali.
